Devin Michael Lowe is an grassroots community organizer and prison abolitionist based out of New York City. Centering much of his work around racial and gender justice, Devin holds a strong focus on the issues specific to trans and queer communities of color, but most particularly the Black trans community. With a commitment to the fight against gender based violence, Devin frequently travels to public schools, universities, and other local organizations, providing talks focusing on the current social and political climate surrounding the trans experience, and discusses the ways in which cisgender and heterosexual individuals can show true allyship toward queer & trans community members.
