Devin for Playbill Pride
Acting
The mainstream media has a far-reaching history of co-opting the narratives of trans individuals. Directors and casting agents have long made the mistake of casting cisgender actors to play the role of trans characters, both stripping the work of potential authenticity, as well as, displacing the economic resources that should be poured into the lives of trans artists.
Devin Lowe is a proud actor of trans experience seeking to pave the way for trans masculine actors of color in the film and theatre insdustry.

This film tackles the epidemic of transphobic violence and the silence around the murders of trans women.
